WANT TO MENTOR?

  • NOLA FOR LIFE MENTORING INITIATIVE

The NOLA FOR LIFE Mentoring Initiative partners with mentoring organizations to positively impact the lives of young men in New Orleans. This initiative, as a component of Invest in Prevention, allows us to work with other mentoring organizations to change the lives of young men in New Orleans.

Together, NOLA FOR LIFE and mentoring organizations have created a process to pair mentors and mentees. We’re looking for mentors to provide guidance and support to 15-18 year old males in New Orleans who are at risk of involvement in violence. This age range is a critical time in young men’s lives to insert a positive influence and connection to a caring adult.

NOLA FOR LIFE MENTORING CHALLENGE GRANTS

Through the NOLA FOR LIFE Mentoring Initiative, the City of New Orleans is also launching NOLA FOR LIFE Mentoring Challenge Grants. The grants are being offered to community organizations who volunteer a significant amount of NOLA FOR LIFE mentors through the mentoring partner organizations. To accept the challenge and learn more about the grant application process, download these instructions.
